Breast Cancer Survivor Story
At 31, a woman came to us with a small ulcer on her nipple and a mammogram showing concerning microcalcifications in her left breast. Although the lump count not b felt, a wire-guided lumpectomy was done. Pathology confirmed Paget’s disease and ductal carcinoma in situ, leading us to plan a breast-conserving surgery.
During the operation, we removed the affected area and cleared lymph nodes, ensuring clean margins. To restore her breast, we used a latissimus dorsi flap, achieving a natural shape with minimal scarring. Thanks to early detection, she avoided chemotherapy and kept her breast, with radiation now planned to secure an excellent long-term outcome.
Early detection truly saves lives.
